Community Wheels
About Us
Community Wheels was established over 21 years ago to meet the needs of transport users who were unable to access public or private transport. The project serves the rural area of North Herefordshire and covers over 100 parishes stretching from Leintwardine in the North to Preston on Wye in the South. The scheme was born out of the idea that no one should be isolated due to a lack of transport and that the service would be available to all who qualify.
Based in Leominster, we co-ordinate a team of over 65 dedicated drivers who simply wish to make their community a better place to live.
After we take your call we contact the nearest driver to your location where we pass on your details and ensure your trip runs as smoothly as possible. All our drivers give their time freely and thanks to our funders we are able to continue to offer this important service. Naturally, we are always seeking additional funds to help run the project and all donations are most welcome.
